So we began. Fragrant Qigong, he explained, was a two thousand year old form of Qigong started by a Buddhist monk. It is called that because the more you practice this form of qigong the more you will notice a fragrant smell. He said that these exercises were the beginning level ones and would help the person practicing to be healthy, more energetic and even help people become smarter. The exercises he told me could be done while the person was in a car, on the phone, walking or even watching TV. It must be done while you are relaxed and with a smile. John had even taught this group of exercises to my grandparents.
