The story of a young boy who is sent to spend the summer with his grandparents in the small town of Smock, Pennsylvania due to health reasons. A chance encounter with an old Chinese man leads him to learn the ancient Chinese health exercises of Qigong and Tai Chi. As he learns these exercises he finds that his health and his life is changing for the better and the encounter is the beginning of what would be a life-long friendship.
